Satisfying read!

There is much that happens in this book! On many levels, it is a very satisfying and engaging read. This book was published in 1997, when there were still editors. I loved the refreshing range of vocabulary, the great punctuation and proper syntax! Love how she weaves history expertly with fiction and paints the scenes so vividly of the events in the lives of the characters. I felt like I was there with Grace and Niall, and the others. So good!

It wasn’t bad but I don’t think that I would recommend it just based on that fact that for a book that’s supposed to be about time travel you have to get through more than 3/4ths of the book before you finally get to the good parts. It felt like it was really dragging in some parts and I had to really push myself through this book. Again, not bad but not great.

I love this book. It's haunting and full of suspense. I enjoy reading it over and over. I agree that it's one of Linda Howard's best.
