I read to relax. This book did that for me. Fun and enjoyable book.

I don't normally write reviews but this is a really cute story. I went back and forth about downloading it and finally decided to bite the bullet. I am glad I did I really enjoyed it.

I love contemporary romance novels...if the romance is not too easy. I always shudder when the leads in a book are having hot monkey sex in the first chapter. Work for it a little! That said, I enjoyed the banter between Lace and Pierce. He was her childhood crush, Lace was trying to protect her heart from another rejection. He had never had to work for a woman's attention until he met Lace (again). This is the second book in Lori Wilde's Cupid, Texas series-- and I'm loving her less than perfect heroines! When I enjoy a book AND learn something, I feel like I've gotten a bonus. This was a refresher on that long ago biology (botany) course & I learned some things about football that I never knew.
