  • Fantastic!!!

    By Cheryl SDS
Delta Force Operator, Captain Brian "Hutch" Hutchinson, was injured during an op and lost all five members of his team. He lost a finger and had taken shrapnel to the throat. He couldn't talk but the Army could find no medical reason why. They said he was showing signs of Borderline Personality Disorder, which is the same as his mother had. They Honorably Discharged him, so he went home to Twilight, Texas. When he arrived at his house, he found out that his sister had run off with her current boyfriend and that she had rented a bedroom to a woman and her son. Also, his sister left her little girl with the renter. Meredith, the renter, and Hutch agreed to free rent in exchange for her helping with his niece, Kimmy. Hutch still can't talk and he suffers from PTSD. Meredith is running from a past she fears has caught up with her. They desperately need each other and the kids need them too. I can't tell you enough how much I loved this story. Hutch is the wounded warrior that is such an alpha man with feelings that run deep. Meredith is a good mother that's only trying to keep her son safe. The kids are adorable and the way the author wrote the way they spoke, really put their age into perspective. The sense of family in Twilight is tremendous. Everyone knows everyone and they all watch out for each other. I really enjoyed this story about two people with kids, finding that one person who could help them heal. Thank you Lori Wilde for this feel good Christmas story. Received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
