It’s clear the author was working through some of her own issues in writing this book. While the characters are the same, it doesn’t feel connected w the first three books. It’s all about Nesta whose self-loathing manifests in a hateful, nasty, whiney personality that is really tiresome. The first 2/3 of the book reads more like a smutty sex novel. Then she has a good cry about 2/3rds through and transforms to this lovely, generous personality. What little outside drama occurs is weak and feels like a second thought instead of something woven in. Don’t bother reading….stop at book three.

I loved Nesta’s story. I loved the Valkyries reborn. All of it. This story saved me. Thank you.

This book was my favorite in the series. I loved Nesta’s character development and could relate so deeply to her experience as a misunderstood eldest daughter!

I couldn’t even finish this book. Nesta is the main character of this book and she’s horrible. I’m rooting against her. She’s poison.

This whole series is incredible. Sarah keeps you enthralled in the story of Faerah and her family and friends page after page!! I hope there is another book coming, if it is please make it longer! I didn’t want this book series to end. Someone please make a film or streaming show of this!!!! There is nothing, nothing nothing I didn’t love about this. The writing and story telling is on point.
  • Ending?

Maybe it was how I read it, broken up a lit, but I felt like the ending was an abrupt solution to each problem presented in the book. Like some were so drawn out then completed and solved within a few pages, if not faster.
