Well developed characters, a deep and sprawling plot with plenty of intrigues and action. An excellent introduction to a relatable and engaging world.

Loved this book. Contrasting a Victorian/Early Industrial setting with Dragons and mystical powers was brilliant! Can't wait for more.

This book felt like a strangely satisfying mashup of Mistborn, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park; but I loved it. Seriously. The pace never slowed and the story was fun. The Hilemore POV was a little opaque for most of the story, but after finishing I'm excited to get more of it. :)

A thus far fantastic read with complex characters who are vastly different from one another. A genuinely interesting setting that readers of Game of Thrones and the Wheel of Time will devour at length.

I plowed through this book. Fantastic characters, incredible world building, non-stop action and written in a way that just makes it hard to put the book down. A true steampunk fantasy masterpiece. This book will appeal to all fantasy lovers no matter what genre of fantasy you love.

Can hardly wait for the next book.

A little steampunk, a little western frontier, just the right mix of magic, and a whole lot of good writing. Oh and let's not forget DRAGONS. Highly recommend this and can't wait for the next one.
