Louise Penney writes remarkable stories that touch the heart while challenging the mind to unravel the mystery. Plus she’s funny, in a tender way. Absolutely delightful.

These books came highly recommended from two friends with very similar reading tastes. I didn’t care for them at all. Plodding, tedious, unable to attach to any of the characters. The plots are confusing if not bizarre. I mostly skimmed the final chapters just to find out who the murderer was. Save your money.
