Reviews

  • Interesting ideas but very repetitive

    By Paulcsmith
The book could have been cut down substantially. Many of the same ideas are repeated end endlessly but it is worth getting through to get to the ending
  • Story could be told in 20 pages

    By VastOzone
So much verbiage, so little meaning.
  • Boring

    By Lainie9999
I don’t know how you make a book about a labor camp on an alien planet dull, but the author managed it. A very dry discussion of biology and science, with very few interesting plot points or character development.
  • Wouldn’t recommend

    By Byrdhous3
The story line and concept is very interesting just the science and political commentary is overwhelming. Felt like reading an essay rather than a science fiction novel at times.
  • Hugo-bound captivating storytelling

    By Scalcote
A beautiful mulitvalent master class in big idea sci-fi, combining cutting edge speculative ecology with the fundamentals of human struggle for a more just society.
