Featuring selections from all seventeen electrifying Jack Reacher novels and an introduction from Lee Child himself, this one-of-a-kind book compiles timeless advice from maverick former army cop Jack Reacher, the hero of Lee Child’s blockbuster thrillers and now the star of a major motion picture.

My name is Jack Reacher.
No middle name, no address.
I’ve got a rule: People mess with me at their own risk.

You don’t have to break the rules if you make the rules. Case in point: Jack Reacher, the two-fisted, quick-witted, “current poster-boy of American crime fiction” (Los Angeles Times). The brainchild of #1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Child, Reacher is a freelance troubleshooter with a mysterious past—and a serious passion for justice.  Now the hard-won knowledge and hard-hitting strategies of fiction’s toughest tough guy are within every thriller reader’s reach—in a rapid-fire rundown of the trade secrets, tried-and-true tricks, and time-honored tactics that separate the man in the street from the man to beat.

Rule 1. When in doubt, drink coffee.
Rule 2. Never volunteer for anything.
Rule 3. Don’t break the furniture.
Rule 4. Only one woman at a time.
Rule 5. Show them what they’re messing with.

Please note: Jack Reacher’s Rules is a compilation of advice, wisdom, and facts from the Jack Reacher series of novels by #1 New York Times bestselling author Lee Child. It features an introduction by Lee Child, but is not a Jack Reacher novel.

  • The Rules all in one place

I liked it. It was fun and reminiscent to see the rules. After finishing a novel it's usually just a function of memory to recall it. These rules brought up Reacherisms from the novels and it was enjoyable to revisit those moments from the novels.
  • Rip-off waste of money

this author and publisher are extremely disappointing... this isn't entertainment... this is just a blatant act of fraud, trading on a recognized name to take people's money...

Nothing but excerpts from the Reacher Books.

How do I get my money back?? Not a "book" at all! Do not buy this. Wish I had read the reviews.

Having read numerous Jack Reacher novels, this has got to be the dumbest excuse for a book. Have enjoyed many, but this was a total waste of money and time.
  • Not Worth the Money

Reacher is a great character, but this book was a complete waste of money.
  • Not a Jack Reacher Book

I will be the first to admit that I goofed when I bought this book. I just jumped instinctively at a new JR book. It's just a list of Reacherisms, not a novel. It's more of a booklet than a book; and way overpriced for what you get.
  • Good if you like unordered lists

I enjoyed this book, but its basically a bunch of lists and a few quotes to give you some sense of the type of person the fictional character Jack Reacher is. A very quick read, but a lot more detail and depth would have been nice. Not really I worth $10 as an ebook. 148 short bullet lists.

While this is entertaining, sometimes amusing,a bit informative, it's content is lacking, especially for the amount paid.....
  • Not worth the cost

One gets his rules reading the novels, the display of the rules with no interplay of a story is like reading someone else's shopping list
