    I've read highlanders novels before and I'm sorry to say that this one is not good enough to be one . I could not feel with characters the passion , honor , bravery of the Highlanders worriers . But I'm just sayen ......maybe u will like it

    I really enjoyed this book and the main characters. Often, books with the kidnapped but defiant damsel also have the domineering and conquering hero who forces the damsel to change everything she is and yield her freedom, pride, and control. But Duncan and Amelia's relationship stays far from that typical misogynistic dynamic. From the beginning, both are at odds but in a respectful accepting way that really allows you to love them both immensely yet respect their strength. Each stays true to their own beliefs without having to "conquer" the other. The plot has depth and is very entertaining and the relationships are dynamic and very believable. Geat love story with the perfect balance of action, intrigue, and plot twists yet won't offend any feminist sensibilities.

    1st book involving highlanders that I've ever read. But I must say that, I really enjoyed reading this book. The story line was interesting, as well as the characters.
