  • Must read for any spiritual practice

    By Zacbear
I can say without doubt that this is one of the most impactful and transforming books I have ever read. It’s not a comparison of two faiths, it’s a deep look into what makes a strong spiritual practice, using Christianity and Buddhism as examples. For those searching for a spiritual practice, or those with an already strong spiritual practice, this book is a must read.
  • Living Buddha, Living Christ.

Beautiful, and inspiring book. A definite read especially in these very crazy and decisive time we are leaving in.
  • Probably the best gloss of Buddhism from a Christian POV

    By warrenao
Don't let the title throw you if you're a Christian; Thich Nhat Hanh isn't trying to sell some kind of idolatry, nor is he out to commit blasphemy. Rather, in this book, he's drawing a comparison and contrast between two major world belief systems and showing what they have in common. I found my understanding of Buddhism increased by this book — but what was interesting was that I found my understanding of Christianity also improved. A good text, light to read, and one that isn't proselytizing or trying to evangelize either religion.
