Lovely story about 2 head strong people falling in love together with a bit needed action.
  • Fast paced.

Good and engaging story. I personally could do without the Scottish slang as it took time to figure out the conversations. But it does add authenticity to the story line. A short book and can be a quick read.
  • Spotty writing quality.

I couldn’t finish, even though I liked the characters and story line. The writer jumps from writing in dialect to regular English with no discernible pattern. If I never see “mon” used for man again, it will still be too soon. I’m all for it while writing dialogue, but outside of quotation marks, please just stick to your normal writing style! The mixing is messy and makes for an unhappy reading experience.

The characters and the story were great until the end. There was no exciting ending it just fizzles out.

I almost didn’t read this book based on what a shrew she was in the beginning. I skipped a bit and turned out pretty good. I don’t like to read books about nasty people. Face too much of that IRL.
