Whenever I want a nice sweet to the point romance Katie Rues delivers ... I love it when the main characters opt for honesty and none of that miscommunication nonsense that lasts for chapters ... Cute story ..

Sworn to Protect is a novel in the Red Stone Security Series by Katie Reus. This book features the relationship of Quinn and Athena. This romantic suspense series is one of my favorites. The suspense scenarios could certainly happen to anyone. The characters are all believable and, for the most part, likeable. Although you will get more from the story if you have read the previous books in this series you do not need to do that to enjoy it. It does, for me, make reading subsequent books in the series more enjoyable as there are the characters from prior books whose lives are intertwined with the characters in the new stories. (You get to catch up a little bit with some former couples.) The prologue of this story sets the tone for the rest of the book. Quinn is definitely an Alpha Hero, as are all the Red Stone Heroes. He does come with some issues though. It was fun to read about his reaction to Athena’s disclosure (you find out what this is early in the book) and what he does to rectify this and get back with Athena. Even though this book is a romantic suspense there is still some humor. There are some smexy times too – what is a book without some heat? I would definitely give it 4 and ½ stars.
