The conquering Tide

This is a very informative book about the war in the Pacific during WW II. I like how the author presents the war from both sides to include what the civilian populations from all combatants felt and thought. I look forward to reading the third and final book in this trilogy.
Well written and highly informative.

Breaks the reader down to details not covered in other books of this type. Highly descriptive without being too detailed. A great example is how the Japanese military junta broke down the the free-thinking will of the Japanese people. A very good read.
Engrossing!

Ian W. Toll is a fantastically captivating writer/reporter of history. A must read after reading his “Pacific Crucible.”
