I really liked Huck and Willow's story. I thought the characters were well written with good backstories. I did not want to put it down once I started it.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it. While this is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior ones to fully understand and enjoy this wonderful story! I really hated to see this story end. I so thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. The emotional toll that the characters go through. The story is one that shouldn't be missed. I'm giving it 10 gold stars!!! This is written in a dual POV format. This is a favorite of mine. Getting that glimpse into both of the main characters' thoughts really help me to better understand them and their actions so much better. Ok this old lady is kicking Willow McBride to the curb and I'm stealing Huck Jones for myself!!! Yeah if only I could. Huck is a truly loyal man. This ex-special forces' soldier turned cowboy is steadfast, determined and protectful. He made a vow to his brother-at-arms, Jace McBride, to walk his sister down the aisle. Huck feels responsible for Jace's death and would do anything for Jace. When he meets Willow, he feels a gut punch. Willow is a gorgeous woman who is also a barrel racer. She is heading home to Marietta, Montana after a rodeo without her fiancé (who is on his way to Hollywood for an audition). Huck helps Willow fix up the broken down homestead for the wedding that is in a few DAYS! Willow is marrying her baby's daddy (Jake) as he doesn't want to be like his dead-beat dad. Unfortunately for Willow, it seems like Jake is just like his daddy. Jake has big plans for the wedding (not the courthouse like Willow). The homestead is NOT ready for a wedding! Willow and Huck work closely to get the place looking decent for the big day. There is an attraction that is growing between the two. Willow is not happy that Jake isn't helping with the preparations as he has changed everything making more work for her. She is conflicted and confused as to her feelings for Huck. These two have a complicated relationship. Can they navigate their way to a HEA? Can Huck who has had a difficult history growing up without love learn how to love Willow? This is slightly on the sexy side. The scene was highly glossed over and not written very lengthy so it could be passed by if that isn't your thing.
