    Another great book. Pieced together well with so many twists and turns. BUT the typos are killing me. All of Denise’s other books have at least a handful, but this one is crazy, as if there’s no editor at all. I even emailed Denise a while back and said I would edit her books for free. The offer still stands!

  • So worth the wait

    I was so disappointed that this was the last book in the series. I had such high hopes for a long standing series. I really love Maddie and her friends. In true form, Denise Grover Swank delivered an amazing finale. Maddie finally gets some long awaited answers to her mothers death. The suspense leading up to it all was so worth the wait. While I am sad that it’s over, I feel like Swank gave us all the closure we needed. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

    Half Baked is the final book about Maddie Baker and her quest to find find answers about her mother. Maddie is searching for alternative care for her Aunt Deidre’s rapidly progressing dementia. She visits St. Vincent’s Village. While there, she helps an elderly man who turns out to be the lead detective from her mother’s murder case. During their conversation he warns Maddie that she’s in danger and to quit asking questions. Maddie and Noah start investigating together, following bread crumbs to while seeking answers. Noah and Maddie relationship continues to grow. There is love, excitement, suspense and danger. This is a good series and a fun read. I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Half Baked by Denise Grover Swank is an absolute page-turner! This suspenseful story of mystery and determination kept me hooked from the very beginning. Maddie's unwavering quest for truth and justice is a rollercoaster of emotion, as she uncovers hidden secrets and corruption. The characters are brilliantly crafted as always, and the story will grip you from start to finish. This book is a thrilling journey into a world of buried secrets that I’m sad to see end!

  • Great finale

    This series was so great, and the finale wrapped everything up with a pretty bow. The twists and turns were epic, and I was so surprised by the ending. I only wish we knew what the key went to! I loved the angst between Noah and Maddie, and I loved their story’s ending as well. I hope one day in the future, we get a Lance and Mallory novella. I’d love for them to get their HEA too.

    I was so Sad to find out this was the last book to Maddie's story. This book has all the answers you have been waiting for. It is so good you are going to want to read it in one sitting. Life can move on around you for a bit. Poor Maddie has to make a lot of hard decisions in a short amount of time. While she is making these life choices her boy friend Noah needs a break. Yes, I was upset also. Maddie stumbles upon Detective Bergan. He gives Maddie the biggest lead of all on the case of her moms murder. That leads to every dead end she could find. The end was done in true Denise form. Sweet and surprising all at the same time. I was a little afriead at one point know how she could end it and the way it was going. You are going to love this whole series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    Maddie Baker is a heroine I’ve come to love. She has a huge heart and she’s not afraid to push for what she believes in. As the final installment in this series begins, Maddie accidentally stumbles upon a man who reveals clues that reveal new information in her mother’s unsolved murder. This sets into motion the events that lead to an heart pounding resolution. The story is fast paced and intriguing. The well developed conclusion to Maddie’s story is satisfying. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
