Awe inspiring! This book is wonderfully written. It reads like a conversation between friends. It reminds me of my youth when I would sit at the kitchen table with my father and his friends while stories were told and retold. Bravo!

I have read numerous books on WWII and rate this as one of the very best. A must read for anyone interested in WWII.

This is the book that was the inspiration for the series "Band of Brothers." Absolutely riveting and one of the best books on what it was like to be on the ground fighting in Europe during WW II.

Read years ago and have listened to it 3 times now. Amazing
