I read the whole book and didn’t understand any of it. I learnt absolutely nothing.

I definatley will be using atleast 10 of these tricks on a daily basis...

Useful book for new users

this is a good reference and feature guide for beginning mac users, but almost half of it doesn't apply to OS X Lion.

The book has a few useful tidbits but nothing very insightful or groundbreaking. Mostly basic useful skills.

Book was largely rudimentary. I was not thrilled with the usefulness of the information. The Missing Guide books from Pogue are more useful.

Te only thing you get in the free samples is "hold the 'c' key while booting to startup from a CD? Something all Mac users know by reading the owner's manual? Is this supposed to make me interested in paying money for the book?

Wanna buy a pig in a poke? That's your only choice with this app since the sample is all front matter. Don't even bother downloading the sample: it's that useless. I expected much better from this mag.
