Pros: As far as filling you in on events leading up to the game's timeline, this book does a fairly good job. It explains a few things, and sets the stage nicely. I personally liked the idea of writing it from the standpoint of Benjamin Sisko writing an article. The appendix in the back is also a handy reference for events NPCs mention in-game. Cons: From the standpoint of someone with no interest in the game, and perhaps from the standpoint of someone who is interested but was seeking a stronger narrative, this is a fairly weak title. The pov it is written from is unusual, and the congruence of the chapters is low. It can also come off as a bit slow paced.
