I loved this couple! They began with an impromptu marriage to “I don’t know who you are” stage. Little did Archer know they had more in common. It is an age old relationship question: my career or my spouse? They had their moments and definitely doubts. Can these 2 find a compromise? Will Archer see what Laney has seen all along and vice versa?

I was hooked on this series after reading Make Me Whole, so I was excited for Make Me Shiver. The book does not disappoint. Archer and Delaney are married in a quick trip to Vegas, but don’t really know each other. She leaves to go home to North Dakota after her brother’s suicide attempt. He eventually goes looking for her, wanting an annulment. But he quickly changes his mind, and has three weeks to make her fall in love with him again. Family drama, work, secrets… All keeping them apart. The author peeled back more of the Barron family issues, setting up the next book quite nicely. This is book 2 in a new series and while I enjoyed the first book in the series, this book I loved so much more. This was an awesome second chance at romance with a married couple, Delaney Granger and Archer Barron. There are secrets, lost family members and fun in a small town. Delaney has been married to Archer for several years but they lived in Texas and she has some big secrets from her husband she has been keeping when she leaves him 18 months before this book begins. The story takes place in North Dakota where Laney grew up and where Laney has been hiding from her husband. He comes to town hoping to figure out their future and thats when all her secrets come out. Archer loves his wife and so he decides to fight for her. Laney meanwhile has to let Archer in and show him who she really is minus all the secrets she has been holding back. Its a time for Archer to also learn who the Barron family is and I really enjoyed going with him on this journey. The author did a wonderful job with this story and giving us an inside look into the Barron family, the different characters and their family drama. If you adore second chance romances then this was an awesome story. I really adored Laney, her family and Archer and the Barron family. I loved how hard he fights for his wives heart and I was so happy that Laney gives him this shot to learn who she is.
