Description

Kason
I'm what you call a god, a superstar, a winner.
I'm good at everything I do and
I know exactly how to get what I want.
Being a professional snowboarder is my purpose in life.
I'm only at Cranmore University to appease my parents.
But, if I want to graduate, I need to pass physics.
And, since failing is not an option,
Blackmailing a nerd who hates me is my last resort.

Shay
I'm what some call a geek, a nerd, a loser.
And I don't care.
I know who I am.
I know where I come from.
And I know exactly where I'm going.
That's why I'm at Cranmore University.
To get my degree and begin my life.
But that plan gets quickly derailed
Thanks to an unbecoming video
A blackmailing snowboarder
And his ex who's hell bent on making my life miserable.

They say everyone comes into your life for a reason.
What happens when that person is the opposite of what you want...

but exactly what you need?

This is more a slow burn romance with a tiny bit of spice. Maybe a 1 or 2 spice level. Good book, good author. I’ll read more for sure.

Something About You is the first book I have ever read by this author. I enjoyed it immensely and will be checking out her other titles soon. This book was about collage aged kids, Shay Miller and Kason McCloud. Shay has had a rough childhood and is happy to be away at school. Kason grew up in a loving household and is an accomplished snow boarder. The two of them don’t actually get off on the right foot, but he slowly gets Shay to see that he is a good person. This book was written in a way that flowed smoothly. I was quickly invested in both of the main characters and loved reading their story. Great story, fun to read, highly recommend!
  • THIS reminds me of why I Love College Sports Romance

College Sports Romance has been a long-time favorite trope of mine. But lately, I’ve been a bit bored or disappointed with new books in this genre. Maybe I had read too many of this trope? Maybe I’d outgrown college sports romances? Who knows. I just know that I couldn’t stop reading Something about You by J Nathan! THIS book right here is why I fell in love with this trope. Something About You hit all the great points. It has a strong female main character who has not had an easy life, but is no pushover. She’s determined to make something of herself. She’s smart and hardworking with a sassy mouth. Our hero is a hot snowboarder who’s already a start in his own right from competing in the X Games. He’s a bit of a jerk, definitely more than a little selfish, and is also struggling in struggling in school. So yeah, he’s the complete opposite. The interaction of these two strong personalities kept me smiling. The evolution of these characters- watching Kazon grow as a person, had me falling in love. And how they faced several adversities, well, it really gave real depth to the story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Something About You by J Nathan. It was a fast, fun read with just enough angst and challenges to keep me hooked. It is a story I know I will read and reread again. I absolutely recommend this book.
