Don’t think I have read this author before. It was a sweet, clean romance.

Love this series I’ve been hooked on Barbara Freethy series great characters and story line.

“If We Never Met” returns us to Whisper Lake in a charming and uplifting story of Keira and Dante. I loved how the story began with their accidental meeting. As the story unfolds, it was nice to see Keira reach for her own dreams after making so many sacrifices for other people. Barbara Freethy’s writing makes you feel as if you are part of the community. She draws you into the characters’ lives making you care about all of the Whisper Lake residents. She has just the right amount of romance and suspense which keeps me happily turning pages and staying up way too late!

I mean it was a nice read, but I kept skipping pages. I was mostly bored, but maybe you’ll find it interesting. Girl sits down at restaurant and starts talking to a random guy thinking it was her blind date. He is new in town trying to recover from his injury, a popular baseball player. Without saying much; it does end with a HEA

Dante DeAngelis , professional baseball pitcher is injured and comes to rehab his arm at the new state of the art clinic in Whisper Lake and hopes to stay under the radar. When out one evening a beautiful, woman mistakes him for her blind date and plays along because it’s been a long time since someone sees him as a person and not a celebrity. Keira Blake is the last remaining single girl in her group of friends so they set her up on a blind date, that she has low expectation of find her plus one for her friend’s wedding. What she finds is a handsome, athletic, interesting man! When their identities are revealed, problems arise, sparks ignite, paparazzi shows up, finding the right road to the future, laughter, falling in love and so much more!

The latest Whisper Lake novel by Barbara Freethy is refreshing, well-written and just plain fun to read. Dante is in Whisper Lake to rehab his shoulder at the new Olympic level physical therapy facility. Keira is a local business owner who returned home several years ago to assist her mother during her recovery from an accident. Kiera and Dante meet through a dating mishap. As time goes on and paths cross they become closer. As with Barbara Freethy books, there is intrigue & mystery within this romance. I read this book straight through and highly recommend this 5 star romance. Looking forward to returning to Whisper Lake soon.

Dante questioning if his shoulder with 3 weeks of intense rehab would work and return to his career as a professional ball player, a year till his contract was up. Whisper Lake had a new rehab center along with the peace and quiet he could use also. The privacy at the Inn and a good meal for now. When a young woman approached his table, they clicked, until the waitress mentioned her date was waiting for her, the mixup of names sounding alike Keira has been wrapped up in her work, without time to date. A dream to have her own design business, and love seemed far away for now. A heartwarming story of following her dreams of love and a career. As you meet these two characters and love them, so real and down to earth. Another winner in this series. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

Barbara Freethy never disappoints. This newest installment in her Whisper Lake series, has it all, romance, drama, danger and a little steam. We meet Keira and Dante, who find their HEA in spite of the crazy. Make sure you add this one to your TBR list.
