Evangeline always does an amazing job when it comes to writing this series. Each book has been amazing. I truly loved this story. Caden who was a Jor’gen Kindred had no faith no desire to find love. I found that sad. I love how no matter how much the kindreds at time loose faith that the goddess never looses faith in them. I tried to put myself in Maddy’s shoes. I could not imagine being clone. If I ever found out would I be mad or thankful. I would like to think I would be thankful. Caden and Maddy will have their challenges a head of them. I love how Caden is welling to meet those challenges head on for the woman he loves. This was an awesome story a glad I got a chance to read the book.

Awakened by the Giant: Brides of the Kindred - Evangeline Anderson The Kindred species had run out of females and became genetic traders, bonding with compatible females throughout the universe. The Jor’gen Kindred bred with a race of giant people developing a mixed rate that is 30% larger than the norm. Now the Jor’gen have run out of females as well and have left on their mother ship to search for compatible females (bonding fruit included- an aphrodisiac that also helps females fit the extra large Jor’gen anatomy). One of the Jor’gens names Calden did not wish to pursue a mates life and chose to join a Mentat Science Station ruled by an AI called Father. Their rules are strict and many horrible, not only banning females but forcing all the species they study to have termination dates. This was heartbreaking on so many levels. Calden has come across a human who was killed in a space accident and was given permission to clone her. Madeline Harris wakes up confused on an alien ship horrified in a regent tank and mortified that everyone else on her ship was killed. Calden doesn’t have to heart to tell her at this time that she is cloned and the Father has forced him to put a termination unit in her as well. As time goes by Calden and Maddie can’t fight the bond nor the sexual attraction between them. The whole storyline of their building relationship, sensual erotic well placed connections , exciting, dangerous thrilling need to escape and find help had me read this story in one sitting. It has all the feels, excitement, sexy romantic, suspenseful elements expected of Ms. Anderson’s excellent writing. It does not necessarily need to be read in order, has some great reunions with beloved characters on the Mother Ship and will leave you with a smile. Just don’t forget that Bonding Fruit!

Yes, Evangeline Anderson has done it again ! Romance and science blends perfectly in this romantic interstellar adventure. I’d recommend this book to anyone over the age of 18yrs old. Pages turn easily and romantic interludes sizzle off the page. Love always finds a way. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The story line was good and opened up the line for anew set of “bad guys” if that is what she wanted. I love all the Kindred and the Giant Kindred are no exception. The character development and relationship seemed a bit rushed but it had a good flow. The only thing I would have liked was more on why the boding fruit was different with her and if it was somehow sentient. Another great story and can’t wait to read more.
