The authors bring up a lot of interesting ideas to consider, but they don’t provide useful examples of the the ideas in context. Nothing is discussed in-depth. The outlining section (which is only a couple of pages!) is not specific enough to be useful and does not provide a strong structure for the important elements in a novel. Overall, the book is a great brain dump, but not well-developed at all.
