This story was wonderful. I just adored Lady Juliana St. Albans. She was fun and feisty and had a hard time having to act like a proper lady. Even though she was English, she was intrigued by everything Welsh, which was suppose to be a lower class. Having followed her Welsh lady's maid, while dressed undercover to a Sons of Wales meeting, she is mesmerized by the main speaker, Rhys Vaughan and of course he is intrigued by her. Juliana and Rhys start spending more time together, and quickly fall in love and decide to elope. Their wedding night was wonderful to Juliana. It awoke certain feelings she never realized she even had. The only problem was in the morning, Rhys was gone and all of a sudden her brothers show up. Juliana spends the next six years waiting for him to return until she is told that he died on a ship. Juliana finally gives up and decides to marry Stephen Wyndham, the Marquess of Devon. At their engagement party, who should walk in by Rhys, coming to claim his wife! Rhys takes his wife back to his place convinced that she had something to do with his disappearance. I loved this part of the story. As the two of them still fought the attraction they had towards each other, they didn't trust each other. As the real story starts to unravel, they both come to realize things that neither of them actually knew. Juliana and Rhys were both strong, proud and loyal characters. I really enjoyed the ride they took to get to their happy ever after.
